Bill Bratton is set to return to New York after Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio announced his decision on Thursday to recall the former LAPD and NYPD chief to command the nation’s largest police force. Bratton, CEO of Bratton Technologies, Inc., rose to prominence after introducing the CompStat system, an information system intended to map crime and identify problem areas for police officers. His ability to integrate technology into law enforcement won many plaudits, and BlueLine, the first global network for professional law enforcement officials, indicates that Bratton will continue to utilize technology to solve major and minor crime issues.
