    Secretary of State John Kerry on Monday added to the Obama administration’s criticism of Russia’s role in shaping the escalating violence in Syria by continuing to provide weapons and political support to the Assad regime in the country’s brutal civil war. Secretary Kerry’s comments also reflected diminishing confidence in the United States’ diplomatic strategy to resolve the crisis, with President Obama calling for a review of “both old and new options” to seek an end to the violence that has wreaked havoc on Syria.
