Biography
Devin Talbott is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Enlightenment Capital, a private debt and equity investment firm that focuses on the Aerospace, Defense & Government sector. Prior to forming Enlightenment, Devin was a Vice President with D. E. Shaw's direct capital strategy, where he helped establish the group's Washington, DC area office and built its defense & government vertical. Prior to D.E.Shaw, Devin was with The Cohen Group Financial Partners, a firm founded by former Defense Secretary William Cohen, analyzing mergers and acquisitions and principal investing in the Defense & Government Services industry. Before that, he worked at Lazard in the mergers & acquisitions group in New York. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in law and Spanish from Amherst College, where he was a four year varsity soccer player (NCAA Final Four and NESCAC All-Academic), and his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Georgetown University. Devin is on the advisory board of the Aspen Security Forum, a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations, co-founded GenerationEngage (a youth civic engagement non-profit), and is a member of the New York State Bar. His op-eds have appeared in the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the Politico, the Washington Examiner, Capitol File, and the San Jose Mercury News.
