    As the international community looks on with dismay over the state of the Syrian chemical disarmament accord, a shadowy U.S. operation has succeeded in destroying a large cache of chemical weapons left over from the Qaddafi regime. While the Libyan arsenal was significantly less than the Assad regime’s 1,300 tons of chemical weapons, the United States hopes that the successful operation will be a beacon of hope for the completion of the Syrian chemical arms accord.
