    Earlier this month, ISIS, also known as ISIL and the Islamic State, published a video allegedly showing several militia members using a Chinese-made shoulder-mounted missile to shoot down an Iraqi Mi-35M helicopter, prompting many to question the surface-to-air capabilities of the extremist group. With calls for increased U.S. involvement in airstrikes against ISIS targets and the likelihood of urban combat looming above the horizon, U.S. officials have voiced thair concern that attack helicopters and low-flying support planes could be targeted by an array of portable shoulder mounted missiles.
