Biography
Josh Meyer is the director, education and outreach, for the Medill National Security Journalism Initiative, based in Washington, D.C. The initiative, funded by the McCormick Foundation, aims to find the best and most innovative ways of doing, and teaching, security journalism across all digital platforms. Its topics include terrorism, war and the military, intelligence and law enforcement reform. Meyer won numerous awards in his 20 years as a Los Angeles Times staffer, including in his last nine years as paper’s terrorism/national security reporter in Washington ending in 2010. He is also the co-author of the 2012 book, ``The Hunt For KSM, Inside the Pursuit and Takedown of the Real 9/11 Mastermind, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.’’
