Biography
Lisa Monaco is the Assistant Attorney General for National Security at the Department of Justice. She leads the National Security Division, which focuses on combating terrorism and other threats to national security.
Ms. Monaco previously served as DOJ’s Principal Associate Deputy Attorney General, and as Chief of Staff to the Director of the FBI. She also worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and on the Enron Task Force, and served as Counsel to Attorney General Reno and as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Jane R. Roth. She graduated with her B.A. from Harvard and her J.D. from the University of Chicago.
