Biography
Clément Beaune is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (“Sciences Po”, 2004) and of the Bruges College of Europe (2005). He is an alumnus of the French National School of Public Administration (ENA, 2009). In 2009, Clément Beaune joined the Budget Directorate of the French Finance Ministry. From 2012 to 2014, Clément Beaune was Adviser for Budget to the Prime Minister. From 2014 to 2016, he was European, International and Budgetary Affairs Adviser to the Minister of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Sector, Emmanuel Macron. From 2016 to 2017, he was Deputy CEO of ADP Management, the international subsidiary of the Paris Airports company (“Groupe ADP”). In May 2017, Clément Beaune became Special Adviser to the President on European Affairs. In July 2020, he was appointed Minister for European Affairs. He was responsible, in particular, for the Brexit negotiations and the French Presidency of the EU Council (January-June 2022).In June 2022, he was elected Member of Parliament for Paris. In July 2022, he was appointed Minister for Transport.
