Dan Stephens

Senior Partner, McKinsey

Biography

Dan is a Senior Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Washington, DC, office and is the global co-leader of McKinsey & Company's Sustainable Finance practice. In this role, he works with banks, insurers, asset managers, investors, and governments to build financing businesses in the context of the climate transition, understand climate risks, track and improve climate and environmental impacts, and create public disclosures. Since joining McKinsey in 2002, Dan has worked with commercial and public sector clients on performance improvement and strategy setting. He has particular expertise in real estate finance, energy finance, agriculture finance and public finance. He previously led McKinsey’s Public Finance Practice, and prior to that, the Real Estate Finance Practice. Daniel holds a JD with Honors from Harvard Law School and an A.B. in History and a Certificate in American Studies from Princeton University.
