Robert Lightfoot

Biography

Robert Lightfoot is the president of Lockheed Martin Space. In this role, he leads the Space business area, a more than $11 billion enterprise employing over 23,000 people, in providing advanced technology systems for national security, civil and commercial customers. He's recognized as a change agent with a track record of setting an organizational vision for the future to enhance productivity and drive efficiencies – through next-generation technology and new business models. Today, he leads the Space team to challenge what's possible for the future of space by encouraging business transformation, technology demonstrations, and new ways to support our customers' missions to protect, connect and explore. Before joining Lockheed Martin, Robert was a 29-year veteran of NASA where he rose to associate administrator, the agency’s highest-ranking civil service position.
