Biography
Admiral Linda Fagan assumed the duties as the 27th Commandant of the United States Coast Guard on June 1st, 2022. She oversees all global Coast Guard operations, 42,000 active-duty, 7,000 reserve, 8,700 civilian personnel, and the support of 21,000 auxiliary volunteers. She has served on all seven continents, including key roles such as Vice Commandant of the Coast Guard, Pacific Area Commander, First District Commander, Sector NY Commander, sea duty on the POLAR STAR, as well as more than 15 years as a Marine Inspector. She is the longest serving active-duty Marine Safety Officer, known as the Gold Ancient Trident.
