Biography
U.S. Army General James Dickinson is the Commander of United States Space Command, the 11th and newest combatant command. He is a Colorado native and commissioned from the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at Colorado State University in 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and master’s degrees in operations research and systems analysis and strategic studies. He is a Persian Gulf War and Global War on Terror veteran, has commanded at every level in the Army, and is the senior Air and Missile Defense Officer in the Department of Defense.
