Why did you cancel months ahead of the Forum?
After careful deliberation, our team agreed that it was necessary to cancel the eleventh annual Aspen Security Forum. Although we hope that the COVID-19 pandemic will improve well before August, we remain mindful of our responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all those involved in the Forum. Evolving social distancing and related health guidance also present unique challenges to organizers and participants planning for the Forum. We chose to cancel early out of respect for the valuable time our speakers and attendees take out of their schedules in anticipation of this event every year. Back to top

When will the in-person Forum return?
The 2021 Aspen Security Forum will return next summer as scheduled on August 3-6. Please check out website regularly and sign up to receive the ASF newsletter for updates. Back to top

Attire throughout the Forum is what we call “Aspen casual,” which means ties and jackets are not required, though some men may wear sport coats, especially as the temperature cools in the evening. For women, “Aspen casual” typically means a blouse and slacks or a daytime dress. One can find a wide range of dress—khakis are common, and shirts vary from typical button downs to Hawaiian shirts. You really can’t go wrong, as long as you don’t wear a suit! Back to top
