Hon. Andy Weber is a Senior Fellow at the Council on Strategic Risks, and an adviser to Ginkgo BioWorks, DARPA, IP3 Corporation, Evaxion, StemRad, and other clients in the biotechnology and national security sectors. From 2009-2014 he served as President Obama’s Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear, Chemical and Biological Defense Programs. His thirty year public service career also included Department of State assignments as Deputy Coordinator for Ebola Response, diplomatic postings in Saudi Arabia, Germany, Kazakhstan and Hong Kong, and Adviser for Threat Reduction in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
